How long will it take to receive an offer letter?

It will all depend on what kind of institutions you are going to apply for and individual circumstances.

University Applications Approx 4-6 weeks If you wish to apply for some unit exemptions from your previous study, it usually takes longer than suggested (8-10 weeks).
Vocational College Applications Approx a few days to a couple of weeks A private college usually process their applications a lot quicker than government run institutions such as TAFE or universities. Also, if you wish to apply for some unit exemptions from your previous study, it usually takes longer than suggested.
English College/School Applications Approx a few days to a week A private English colleges usually process their applications on the day or next. Language school within universities may take a few days to a week.

What is the English requirements for studying in Australia?

It will all depend on the courses you are applying for and the each institutions' English requirements settings. Below are a general guide only.

Undergraduate study Approx IELTS 6.0-6.5 Some courses require higher score
Postgraduate study Approx IELTS 6.0-6.5 Some courses require higher score
Vocational study Approx IELTS 5.0-5.5 Some courses require higher score
English study Depending on the courses No English requirements for General English study. Other courses, such as Academic English, Cambridge Exam Courses, IELTS exam courses require an evidence of your current English proficiency.

For university studies, the area of Law, MBA, Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing and/or Education generally requires higher English requirements.

In addition, some nationalities require a certain level of English before you can get a student visa.

Which universities or institutions can I apply for?

You can apply for most of the universities and the institutions such as TAFE, technical colleges and/or English Language Schools etc. if the institutions/courses are registered for international students in Australia. We or our partner agents can help you with your study applications. Please note we only handle applications for Australian Education Providers within Australia only.

It depends on how far your application has been processed with your current agent.

If you have already paid for tuition fees, or you have been issued CoEs, then we cannot help you.

If you have an offer letter, but have not paid for tuition fees yet, nor received issued CoEs yet, then we/partner agent may be able to help you.

What documents do I need for my study applications?

Transfer University or College, seeking for credit transfer applications

In addition to the required documents for the type of your application, you need to submit the following documents:

  • Unit descriptions issued by your institutions
 *Note: Approval for credit transfers are vary depending on the institutions/courses you apply for. Not all the units/subjects you have studied can be approved for credit transfer.
Applying within Australia

In addition to the required documents for the type of your application, you need to submit the following documents if applying within Australia:

  • Current visa details (Visa grant letter)
  • Current CoEs
  • Offer Letter you received from your current Australian institution
  • Current OSHC membership details
*Note: If you are transferring institutions within Australia, you may need a release letter from current provider once you obtained an offer letter from a new institution.

 *Note: You may be asked to provide more information before/after making the applications.

How much does it cost to study in Australia?

Approx. A$38,000 per year for tuition fees and living expenses if you were to study a 3 year university course in general.

Living cost estimated by the Australian Immigration Department is A$18,610 per year.

The tuition fees for a 3 year university degree courses in Australia cost around A$20,000-$38,000 per year depending on the courses/universities.

English language studies cost around A$300-400 per week depending on the courses/institutions/duration of your studies.

Vocational courses cost around A$7,000-22,000 per year depending on the courses/institutions.

Government Primary/Secondary School fees are around A$10,000-15,000 per year and English tuition fees may be charged separately.
